BoPaRD Purpose: To Recognize selected African Americans who have distinguished themselves in their society
(dead or alive) but have roots in Bossier Parish. Having roots means they either were born in Bossier Parish, have lived
at one time in Bossier Parish or have worked in Bossier Parish. Each of the five former black high schools in Bossier Parish
[Irion, Martin, Mitchell, Princeton and Spikes] would be able to name/add three (3) deceased Pioneers and three
(3) living legends (persons who have distinguished themselves in the community). The School Coordinator would be responsible
for securing a 100 words or less biographical sketch of each person to be placed on the printed program.
